After three days of live broadcasting, Prof. Jeffrey Craig and Prof. Richard Saffery have closed Epigenetics 2021.

AEpiA's Melbourne-based Local Organising Committee delivered a fully-virtual conference connecting 285 attendees from 20 countries for three days packed with expert speakers and interesting sessions.

Although the current situation did not allow for the usual face-to-face conference and exhibition, and we miss a crowded room and conversation in the breaks, the virtual edition, although challenging at times offered some new opportunities we haven’t had before and did offer a chance for some to meet and catch-up at one of the five networking dinners.

Live chats, Q&A options, virtual posters, opportunity to connect with anyone no matter their location and other virtual “goodies” made this event exactly what we hoped for: a place to attend and participate, with opportunity to connect, to engage and provide a knowledge forum to continue our professional development.

Welcome to the 2021 meeting of the Australian Epigenetics Alliance! This meeting will bring together Australian and international researchers in the field of epigenetics, and connect senior, emerging and early-career researchers. This year, the conference will focus on single-cell epigenetics, stem cells, epigenetics in immunity, environmental epigenetics, transgenerational and evolutionary epigenetics, integrative OMICs, epigenetic aging, and translational and clinical epigenetics.

Hosting of our biennial meeting rotates states and territories of Australia; due to COVID-19 Epigenetics 2021 will be held VIRTUALLY from 17th – 19th February. There is still opportunity for face-to-face networking at satellite dinners in each state .

Our Victorian convening committee has been working hard to ensure the program is comprehensive, with diverse sessions of interest to epigenetics researchers from all branches of life science. We have confirmed international keynote speakers and many distinguished national speakers, and we will be inviting oral and poster presentations from a selection of abstracts. 

We invite you to submit abstracts, and we look forward to your participation at this dynamic meeting.
